Nate Hinkeldey DC

Nathan Hinkeldey is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and currently practices in Des Moines, Iowa at VA Central Iowa Healthcare System. His clinic is situated within an inter-professional pain clinic where patients are evaluated by a coordinated team of healthcare providers in order to evaluate and implement a plan of care that fits the patient’s value system along with the best available evidence. His interests include pain manage, rehab, research, and teaching. Nate’s passion for teaching stems from his previous involvement in the chiropractic clerkship program under the supervision of Dr. William Morgan.

Program Information

During this class, Dr. Hinkeldey will help you analyze the world of interprofessional care related to lumbar spine pain. It is designed to review the current guidelines related to classification and management of patients with lumbar spine pain while utilizing case-based learning to explore patient outcomes. To provide patients with the best possible outcome, providers must also be able to meet the patient’s value system and practice patient-centered care. This means that at times, patients will resonate with something outside of the chiropractic scope of practice. Dr. Hinkeldey will also assist providers in understanding the evidence related to modalities not provided by chiropractors.
