David Armentano, LMTA Navy veteran and carpenter, David decided it was time for a change in 2009. He entered the Massage Therapy field because he has had an intense desire to help people since he was a boy. After attending High Tech Institute’s Massage Therapy Program in Irving, TX, David focused his strong scientific and analytical mind into the medical benefits of massage. Specializing in orthopedic and deep tissue techniques and combining it with his scientific background, David is able to effectively locate and aid in eliminating the problems that are causing pains. David has had great success with the Migraine Miracle, Medical Massage, Tuina and Integrative Acupressure techniques. Throughout his career as a licensed massage therapist, David has spent substantial amounts of time researching techniques and modalities that he can use to aid his clients. The most important thing is for the client to leave feeling better than when they came in.
Pregnancy is a stressful time for a woman. Her body is changing and under a lot of stress. Massage allows women to feel pampered and reduces many of the discomforts associated with pregnancy. You will learn to assess the safety of prenatal massage and the risk factors, the changes a woman and her baby goes through and how to position the mother for the massage. You will also learn how to maintain body mechanics, address the issues of client comfort and how to provide a massage that is safe for all expectant mothers who have a normal, healthy pregnancy.
